American National Red Cross
Even amidst the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, American Red Cross disaster responders are helping families across the country by making sure they have a safe place to stay, food to eat and helpful safety information. The Red Cross is responding in regions like Texas and Tennessee and watching the extreme weather to determine if more help is needed. Nearly 115 disaster responders are supporting, in person or virtually, more than 80 open shelters from Texas to Tennessee with over 1,700 people seeking warmth and safety. Additionally, they are supporting warming centers throughout these impacted regions.
